3 Tips That Will Make Packing Toiletries Much Easier

No matter how long of a trip you’re planning to take, you’ve got to pack at least some toiletries so you can take care of all your hygiene needs while you’re away from home. The problem with packing toiletries is that all these lotions and potions and creams often have a way of breaking or spilling at the worst possible moment, ruining your clothes and anything else you have packed in your bags.

Luckily, this doesn’t have to be the case. With the right packing procedures, you can avoid running into any issues with your toiletries through your entire trip and all trips to come. To show you how this can be done, here are three tips that will make packing toiletries much easier for you.

Always Keep Your Toiletries Packed

In addition to having your toiletries spill out everywhere in your bags, another common issue people have when packing their toiletries is forgetting something important.

One thing you can do to ensure that you always have the toiletries you need regardless of how much time you gave yourself to pack your bags is to always keep your toiletries packed. Elizabeth Preske, a contributor to Travel and Leisure, shares that she always keeps travel-sized versions of her go-to products packed away in a toiletries bag and inside her suitcase. By doing this, you’ll know that you’ll always have the items you need without having to stress about putting everything together before each trip you take.

Know What Products To Keep Separate

When packing your toiletries, there are certain items that you’re going to want to keep separate from everything else.

In general, Hannah Hayes, a contributor to Southern Living, shares that you should at least keep your liquids and your solids separate. This will help to keep any spills contained. Additionally, if you’re packing things that could be considered dangerous to your other products, like disposable razors, be sure you separate those items from any items they could cause harm to as well.

Pack Things In The Right Spot In Your Luggage

If you’re traveling by car, where you pack your toiletries within your luggage isn’t really all that important. But if you’re flying as part of your trip, you’re going to want to be sure that you pack your toiletries in the right spot within your luggage.

When going through the airport, you’ll have to take out any liquids that you’re traveling with while going through security. To make this whole process easier on everyone, Johnna Kaplan, a contributor to The Spruce, advises that you pack your liquid toiletries at the very top of your luggage or in an outside pocket that’s easy to get to. This will make pulling those items out for security checks a much simpler process.

If you’ve had disasters while traveling with your toiletries in the past, consider using the tips mentioned above to make things easier on yourself in the future.
